HP contacted Lunar Design to create a series of wallpapers for the new HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario notebooks. The challenge was to create wallpapers that would be specific to each notebook rather than apply the usual generic approach of stock wallpapers.
Themes based around mobility, product detail and architecture, as well as organizational structures, provided the basis for the initial conceptual work. The results were wallpapers that were gracefully tailored to the target market of each notebook. The strong emphasis on the HP/Compaq brand is visible through shapes and colors that make the wallpapers suitable for the desktop market as well.
